To ensure efficient coordination of office processes, administrative and clinical support, and practitioner collaboration during the day-to-day operations of the Practice.
Exemplifies, supports, and promotes the Midwest CareCenter mission, values and service excellence standards.
Consistently conducts oneself in a manner that promotes/markets CareCenter services, in an effort to increase referrals/census/business/revenue.
Demonstrates responsible stewardship of all Midwest CareCenter resources.
Practice Operations Manage the daily operations of the Practice, including:
Triage patient calls and urgent situations, and seeks assistance from RN and/or providers as needed
Communicate with patients and families requesting PCS services, obtaining insurance information/medical records, etc
Schedule appointments for patients
Perform clinical intake of ambulatory patients seen in Glenview office (vital signs, symptom assessment, etc
Ensure communication practices with external and internal customers are effective and dynamic
Responsible for the medication refill process for current PCS patients
Keeps rooms supplied and maintained for patient use - equipment and linens stocked, biohazard containers and sharps containers emptied, surfaces and exam tables properly disinfected
Reports inventory needs, assists with requesting supplies
Collaborate with Access Center to further integration between the department, assess and guide patient/families to appropriate services, establish communication and begin the patient relationship initiate and maintain cost saving measures through effective use of resources, equipment, and office supplies and manage to a pre-determined budget
Quality and Education
Participate in quality improvement activities and reporting, as necessary
Review and ensure all documentation complies with quality measures, is timely and accurate for the current patient status, and consistently meets billing eligibility requirements
Meets or exceeds organizational quality goals
Organizational effectiveness and integration
Facilitate PCS integration by building effective relationships with all internal customers while enhancing teamwork to meet or exceed organizational outcomes
Meet or exceed annual goals and outcomes for the practice in alignment with organizational strategies and goals
Building effective relationships with external markets and coordinate with other organizational initiatives
Collaborate with other departments which impact the operations of and provide resources to the practice
Participate in meetings, committees, task forces and initiatives, as appropriate
MARGINAL JOB DUTIES
Charts, filing and data entry
Performs other duties as assigned
Adheres to the practice of confidentiality regarding patients, families, staff and the organization
Understands that he/she may be exposed to Protected Health Information (PHI), and ensures that he/she treats PHI according to Midwest CareCenter policies and procedures
Certified Medical Assistant in Illinois or LPN Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational Nursing with Illinois State Licensure
Minimum of two years of physician practice experience preferred
Critical thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational, written and verbal skills, strong problem-solving skills. Competence in computer usage and programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
